I'm back home for the Summer and have been brainstorming on different photography projects to do while I'm home with the new equipment I now have.

I'm looking for models and other photographers to collaborate with.

I'll be taking my first shot at conceptual photography.

What I've got planned is some psychedelic/fantasy horse themed shoot which I have a wonderful model/designer collaborating with me.

I also just got 2 long elk horns which I'd like to use for animalistic/outdoors/creature of the deep theme.
I'd like this concept to be dark and edgy. A model covered in just mud/twigs/leaves/etc and horns.
If you are or know of a great MUA that would like to participate in this project with me then please contact me ASAP.
I'll be shooting both of these concepts in August when hopefully it's cooler.

It's been a while since I've written or been on here.

Back in October of 2011 my new Canon 550D was stolen along with my film camera.
It was a pretty devastating blow. After a while I began taking photos with my iphone.

My parents decided to help me out and bought me a package deal online which included a canon 400D as well as a Rebel X Film camera.
It included a 540EZ speedlight which I need to experiment with as well as about 4 different lenses.

These will be a good start  but the equipment has seen a lot of use from the previous owner.

I'll update with some new photos soon.

Hello All.

I've finally purchased and own my first DSLR.
I got the Canon Kiss x4/550d.
I've been shooting a lot more lately and have many great photos from the Philippines that will be showing up here soon.

I'm shopping for my first DSLR.  I currently have a Canon Rebel 2000 SLR with a 170-300mm lens so I'm thinking it'd be best to stay with the Canon brand. However, there are so many to choose from.  

All of you professionals out there, what would you recommend a budding amateur (who's entering photography contest next month) buy with between $4-700??   

As you can see I enjoy taking landscapes but I'd like to expand my horizons a bit and take dancing shots, portraits, as well as Underwater photos while scuba diving.

It's been three years since I last journaled.
A lot has happened since then.

I went to Costa Rica to study for 4 months and traveled Nicaragua as well. Once I returned from there I found a job teaching English in South Korea. That was back in August of 2008. I've been in Asia ever since.

I just started my second year teaching English and am now teaching at a public elementary school in Seoul.

During this past winter I spent three months traveling the Philippines and took some amazing photos to catalogue my amazing times there.

As I look through the hundreds of photos I've taken in the past couple of years I'll share some of the ones I've found to be the most intriguing and I hope you enjoy following on the photographic journey that I've captured.
